Latest News: On June 29th, on the construction site of Baling Petrochemical's caprolactam industrial chain relocation, upgrading and transformation development project, there were 183 days left until the completion of the project. The provincial key project of the transformation and upgrading of the 100 billion petrochemical and new material industry chain has entered the final sprint stage.
According to Zhang Hui, head of the caprolactam industry chain relocation project of Baling Petrochemical Company, according to the construction node, the first boiler of the power station will be ignited on September 30, and qualified steam will be provided in mid-October, and the steam turbine will start a single test. The process units will be handed over in succession from November, and will be fully handed over by the end of December.
After more than 20 years of continuous technological research, Baling Petrochemical's new complete set of lactam green production technology has ranked among the world's advanced, and won the China Industry Award in 2020, not only breaking the 70-year monopoly of foreign caprolactam production technology, but also domestic caprolactam production technology. The production capacity has been increased from 100,000 tons/year at the beginning of this century to the current 4 million tons/year.
Baling Petrochemical's caprolactam industrial chain relocation, upgrading and transformation development project is located in Yueyang Green Chemical Industrial Park, Hunan, covering an area of 2,650 mu, with a total investment of 13.95 billion yuan. This project is the largest investment project in the history of Baling Petrochemical. After the relocation, the production capacity will be increased from 300,000 tons to 600,000 tons, laying a solid foundation for Baling Petrochemical Company to build a world-leading chemical material enterprise.
By supplementing the chain, extending the chain and strengthening the chain, it will promote the transformation, optimization and upgrading of Yueyang's petrochemical industry structure, and create an "upgraded version" of Yueyang's 100 billion petrochemical and new material industry chain. After the completion of the project, it will be of exemplary significance for Yueyang to further solve the problem of "chemical industry surrounding the river" and to promote the prevention and control of chemical pollution in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
The overall design of the project was approved by Sinopec headquarters on September 15, 2020, and the tender for the foundation treatment project was launched in late September of the same year. The foundation treatment project is divided into 2 bidding sections, which are undertaken by Sinopec Shengli Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. and Beijing Yanhua Tianzheng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. respectively. The construction period is planned to be 4 months.
